So you might be thinking
"Who the heck are Strangelite?" and no doubt you clicked the above
link in the hope to find out more about the team behind the game Starship
Troopers.
Back in 2001 a group of around ten individuals made up of industry veterans and relative newcomers were signed by Empire Interactive to form an internal development studio - Strangelite were responsible for the PC conversions of SEGA'S Crazy Taxi and Virtua Tennis. Both conversions were critically acclaimed by the games press and loved by fans alike.
Empire Interactive and Strangelite Studios acquired the license to the mega blockbuster Starship Troopers mid 2003. Since then the team has grown in size and developed their own in-house engine that is capable of rendering the hundreds of bugs you encounter in the game. You can find out more about Starship Troopers Here.
Strangelite is now part of the Rebellion group of studios, and is no longer owned by Empire Interactive.
